Ecumenical Service
Thank you to all who attended the Ecumenical Service held at St Brendan’s and helped clean up, bring food along, set up and organized the evening.
It was very well received and had plenty of positive feedback.
Advent Reflection
Advent Reflection will commence on Monday 23rd Nov at 2-3 pm or Thursday 26th Nov at 5-6 pm. The Reflection will run for 4 weeks in the Hobby Room. More information and expression of interest will be available shortly.
Sacrament of Reconciliation…
St Brendan’s Parish is preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation to be celebrated in November. Children who are baptised are invited to enrol in the program now. St Dymphna’s 130 Years Established Celebrations
Saturday 21st Feb, the Buchan community gathered at St Dymphna’s Catholic Church to celebrate a monumental 130-year milestone. Parish Pastoral Plan Team
One of the goals of the Diocese and St Brendan’s Parish is to Ignite Missionary Outreach and Evangelisation.
In the recent survey, some suggested they would like a bible study apart from Advent & Lent.
Please let the Parish Office know which Books of the Bible you would like to study and we will work on making that happen.

This Rosary will be one of prayerful meditation and contemplation relating to Domestic Harmony; a particular intention of the Diocese of Sale in the month of October.
This is especially relevant in Australia today.
There will be a chance to light a candle for peace.

* Following the Rosary we will have a short ten minute break.
You are then invited to join the RCIA team & candidates to view all of the vessels, cloths, books etc that we use regularly in the Sacrament of the Mass and in other Sacraments. This will be useful for those who have been away from the church for sometime and for those who would like a simple refresher, or new to the church.
· What is a Pyx?
· What is the difference between a Ciborium and a Chalice?
· What is each cloth used for?
· Why are there 5 squares cut into the Altar?
· What is a Lectionary and what is the difference between the Sunday lectionary and the weekdays lectionary 1 & 2?
· What do you notice about the Crucifix above the altar?
· Why does the Priest where different coloured vestments from time to time?
· These and other questions will be answered.

Mission Sunday
Next Sunday 18th October is Mission Sunday. A special collection to support for the Catholic Mission of Australia.
Envelopes will be in the foyer of the Church.
